PLEAST NOTE: The synthetic blend oil contained in the maintenance kits, as well as sold singly, is the brand new VERADO SAE 25W-50 outboard oil. It is specially designed for the VERADO four-stroke technology. Although the 25W-40 oil continues to be suitable for use in the VERADO outboards, we have had an overwhelming request to carry the 25W-50 oil. Therefore, we've decided to make the switch to 25W-50. For use in power steering systems on Mercury and Mariner outboards where synthetic SAE OW-30 oil is recommended.

There is no need to drain the system before using this fluid it will readily mix with the fluid in the system.
